Thankfully, the 'Escort Train' mission was more or less uneventful for the next few hours, as the trains' guards rotated, a fully company-owned NC duo replacing Jingo and Percy. Blur returned to base and dropped off the Mad-E, before doing the same with the Swarm a while later. The engineers were successful in prying open the emergency hatch, and Madison was instantly put into the medical ward for a complete physical exam and rest. Blur, also, found that while picking up the Swarm, the unknown NC was nowhere to be found, and due to the Swarm's damaged sensors, Verona had no idea what happened to it either. It seems like he indeed was fine, and he somehow got his NC functioning just enough to sneak out while Verona wasn't looking. As the team got settled back in, they were quickly debriefed, and dismissed. They also found an additional 15,000 in each of their accounts.
