 Ro was created as a designer baby successor. The Kellan family was having some trouble producing a born child, so they requested an artificial one. Two months after his arrival to the family, his mother finds herself with child. They were good people and didn't throw him out, but he still felt… replaced, unwanted even. He didn't become angry, at least not outwardly, but he did withdraw from those he felt did not want him. He found his great grandfather's comic book stash and quickly became lost in the world of geekdom. He made friends across Deep Blu though many he would never meet face to face, and altogether minimized his life with his family and maximized the time he spent with the few who he felt truly liked him. Then he started inventing. First a small watch and a radio, but then he gradually worked his way up to things like small VI robots and holographic communicators. His love of technology pointed out exactly where he was meant to go, and so he became a Site Technician.
