She did as Henry asked. Fenrir had no trouble keeping up with the horse riders and reached the barricade in no time. The moment she stepped down from the wolf she felt arms wrap around her. It was Dahlia. “I looked everywhere for you! No one would tell me anything.” Dahlia spoke in a hurry. “You’re hurt. What happened?” She gingerly touched the wound on Gwen’s head. “We’ll talk later. We need to survive this now.” Gwen stepped back with a faint smile. And she felt a tingle run along her spine. It was a strange feeling. The blonde didn’t know why but she dropped to the ground and pulled Dahlia down too as Fenrir positioned himself between the girls and the barricade. There was a bang and screams erupted. Some fell down clutching at wounds while others tried to help them before another bang echoed across the yard. What happened next was fast. Those sounds stopped as war cries rang. Was it theirs or the enemies? Gwen took a peek and saw what she thought was their allies break up the enemies ranks. It seemed like they were retreating. Gwen approached Henry when things were settling down and she saw a strange expression on his face. It didn’t suit him. Hesitantly she place a hang on his cheek, breaking Henry out of his daze. “Are you ok?”
