Über Ethereal
Overseer Research Ship, Universe Unknown [@Absolis][@AgentFallenSoul][@thewizardguy]
Cyano's monologue to expose her knowledge didn't impress the Ethereal, or rather it was what it expected from an individual of her caliber. What she was exposing made a lot of sense and was clearly established by the many teams working on the case. She did seem preoccupied about what they had implanted in the beast which was of course warranted given what Apocalypse had demonstrated in the past. She then spoke of the options they could have to limit the progress of the monster and possibly annihilate him entirely, though there were issues with those suggestions as well, and the Ethereal would inform her of such obstacles so they could collectively find the best alternatives. "Your worries are heard. The embryo we have implanted is a genetically modified Chryssalid larva in a dormant stage. Reproductive functions have been stripped from its genetic code and its general traits can be summarized as similar to the Bestial One's in a much weaker level." Using its psionic abilities, the Ethereal made various holograms containing data on the Chryssalid manifest around the blue haired woman's being. She had access to all information concerning the beast, including how they were mere simple creatures and followed a limited hive-mind. There was also other information concerning Apocalypse's results when extracting samples of his body, including how rapid his healing factors was and the recordings of its battle with the leading Ethereal. The footage was put in slow motion to clearly observe how quickly the beast adapted to plasma grenades after multiple exposures. "The larva feeds off the nervous system and derives nutrients while delivering a powerful toxin that enables control of motor functions. This Bestial One wields such a system but nothing else. The embryo is currently within an alloy shell, in the hopes of keeping any information on its genetic code to have contact with the specimen's DNA. Considering the minuscule size of the embryo, we have found it wise to implant it near the cerebellum area preventing any extraction without severe damage to the brain. When active, the shell will open and awaken to larva which will in turn infect the system. The Ethereal Ones wish to observe the extent of the specimen's adaptive capabilities, if it can bypass such a powerful alloy and possibly observe how long it would take for it to fully counteract the Chryssalid Toxin's influence. Unfortunately, we have an even bigger problem, Conablum." The Ethereal would hover over toward one of the human-Quincy scientists and signaled the female to go and retrieve what Cyano wished. It would then extract multiple encrypted documents from the computer and have them appear around the woman once more. These ones held more troubling information, the concept that Apocalypse's abilities would most likely extend beyond genetics and DNA and hit his entire atomic structure altogether. "Upon further experimentation, we were able to sever atomic bonds of each cell in the specimen's body. What we have discovered is the ability for these same atoms to adapt to their surroundings and gather matter in order to rebuild itself. We are equipped for Stasis and we have conducted plans to eliminate it if necessary, but it has become clear. The Ethereal Ones are testing their luck by keeping this being in proximity to anything." The Uber Ethereal didn't seem as neutral this time around. It seemed somewhat worried in regards to what Apocalypse could entail if all their efforts were to fail. By then the Quincy would have returned with a Milkshake and a typical Bugger and Fries from the fast food joint they had implemented specifically for the human labor of the ship. Cyano would likely not want the atrocity that is alien food. "Mikoto. We await the Basterbine report. Has your team completed it?" The alien inquired as its raspy voice echoed through the ship like a loud speaker. The report didn't actually concern anything that Bambietta had done, but rather one of the solutions found to the Apocalypse problem and likely the one that would cause the least amount of damage and easier to confirm.
