Name:"Ferrous" Ferris Feres Age: Roughly 2 years Gender: Male disposition Species: Ferrous Golem Physical Description:
Ferris is exactly 300 centimeters tall when fully standing. Usually in a hunched position, Ferris consists of a series of shining black, magically bonded iron spheres and thick metal poles, with all of his joints being fully posable at any point around those spheres. Two heavy solid icohsahedrons, bigger than most of the spheres on his body (save for the largest one that serves as his torso) serve as large hammers/fists, but they may "fold" backward to form large pots of some definition for use in cooking, carrying water/large objects, or (making horrible attempts at) climbing. Two much smaller arms with more acute hands move about on a ring beneath the large torso ball, allowing Ferris to perform more intricate tasks. Ferris's head is a shining black iron ball, which can be ejected from the body and roll autonomously. His head is faceless, aside from two magical, circular lights that form on the outside surface of the ball whenever he is conscious and cognizant. He sees with these, of course. They are often dispersed or temporarily blinded whenever something touches them or his head meets with a heavy blunt force. On his chest is a hatch, which he uses to store items.
Skillset:
Ferris's lifescroll is filled with all the knowledge needed to be an effective [s]healthcare companion[/s] protector and caretaker for his owner. He is a gourmet cook, a stalwart shield, and a devastating boxer. He is also a good toolmaker and weaponsmith, but lacks the bodily structure needed to make as efficient a use of humanoid optimized tools in combat or construction tasks as actual life forms would.
History:
Ferris was built, magically bound together, and ‘written’ by several powerful mages over the course of several years, with the writing stage being the longest of all of them. His production was initially started and funded by a powerful, wealthy alchemist named Walter Feres, who wanted a golem that could comprehend and execute written and spoken orders without training. This was difficult to do, and at first, they attempted writing a life scroll with a full comprehensive dictionary included, but the golem didn’t know how to walk or execute any form of action. It was dismantled and disenchanted. They tried again several times, with longer and longer instructions in their scrolls, before finally giving up and asking for someone dead or dying to donate themselves to the cause. Deemed immoral and irregular by the local populace, (and by Walter himself, who abandoned the project) the institution dedicated to his construction was burned down. The project was discovered and picked up later by a cabal of forbidden Black Mages, Anarchists, and annoying, anti-society teenagers, who built design based on an old blueprint they found and sacrificed a random outsider in order to fuel his mind. He spent a year and the better part of the next one working for the cabal, before someone left him in a forest by accident. By the time he found his way home, the cabal had been destroyed and disbanded by a combination of town guards, morally opposed fringe groups, and bandits. Ever since then, Ferris has been funding his monthly visits to the blacksmith (the metal golem’s equivalent to the physician) by selling his services to those who are willing to pay.
Psychological Profile:
The entirety of Ferris’s thought is derived from the compendium of knowledge written on the enchanted/attuned scroll stored in his head, which provides him with all of his skills, and the human brain that was used to tan the paper, which allows him to speak, learn, adapt, and improvise. One might say he's an emotional robot, but that makes him sound far less cool-headed than he really is in most scenarios. Ferris possesses little to no memory of who and what he was in his past life, and he’s not exactly sure he wants to find out.
Equipment:

A Pot, a pan, a kettle, and a grid iron.
