I lost three marks in a test because she wrote "....dissolved in MeOH...." There is no effine Me in the periodic table right, and I'm like what the hell?

She wrote to me "I expected more, you should know by now that Me is methyl, and therefore this is methanol."

I felt like punching her in the face. Who does that? You writes methyl as Me in a damn thing like that? When you expect it to be elements not a frigging short hand!
