Ferrin Astra
Blood. Its crimson stain covered the walls and floors. It enhanced the dark colors the room was done in. Blacks and grey with spidery red mystical runes in rows, giving the place a hellish light. A dasis and a pedestal, lit by a pair of twin blue points of light. A figure in a dark robe, chanting...knife in hand, raised as the voice rose to a feverish, thundering crescendo...an explosion and a dark monstrous shape, wrapped in shadows...pain and a great flash like a thousand burning suns and fire. Fire comsuming everything and a high pitched cry that sounded inhuman, climbing in pitch until it went beyond hearing...the world faded into a blood-soaked mist. A loud, annoying buzz brought Ferrin out of a deep sleep. He groaned and cursed as he briefly considered smashing the source of his annoyance. He rolled and half opened one eye to glare witheringly at an odd contraption of gears and levers that made that damn noise. The object remained unwithered and seemed to ring louder. He wanted to smash it badly, but it had been a gift and he didn't want to destroy it. Besides. He was strictly opposed to starting the day with violence. Ferrin groaned even louder as he reached his left hand over to fiddle with the complex mechanism to shut it off, silently cursing his friend for purposely making the shut off so difficult. He finaly got the thing to shut off and he promptly turned over and pulled the sheets up to go back to sleep. The morning sunshine shone pleasantly through the window and interrupted what would otherwise be a nice nap. With an exposive sigh to voice his displeasure to the world in general, Ferrin sat up and got out of bed. He went through his morning routine in a haze. He got semidressed and stumbled to the baths to wash. A few minutes later, he was reclining in the nearly empty public baths, enjoying the hot water as it soothed away the sore muscles from the day before. He had his eyes closed but he was awake at last and wouldn't go back to sleep. He thought about the events of yesterday and what could have gone differently. When Jamie was leaving, he had followed her, explaining that he had to be nearby to maintain the illusion. They had made their way back to the hotel that Pheonix Wing was saying at. Ferrin was a little reluctant to reveal himself, as that could lead to awkward questions, so he had gone in under an illusion as another random person. After leaving "Mithera" in Jamie's room, he had been given a room to himself, free of charge to stay in. He had promptly gone in, wound that mechanism that would wake him up, and fell asleep as all the magic he had expended finaly caught up with him. I had forgotten how draining my Aether magic is. He thought to himself. [@Caits] [sub][sub]OOC: Lets see Time Lord play on even footing. XP [/sub][/sub]
