[/quote] I would explain this as being the endeavors of humans from a colony, but they'd still likely be under the administration of Earth, so they'd be indirectly related. Having said that, I wouldn't mind this presumption and I could write out the fallout of this event. But I don't think humanity in this phase would purposefully go to the extremes as his app, or the government would support it. That said it could also still be a corporate entity that did it on their own not believing they could possibly face any repercussions. One of the sets of background topics I wanted the congress to argue over while I run main-story line things was something like Star Fleet's code of ethics and not trying to directly intervene with any present sapient life until they become space-faring. However strict I want this to be self-enforced could be perhaps determined by any supposed action on his aliens.
