Sure, you just have to figure out which kind of Jedi.  There are at least two Sith factions, and will probably be at least two Jedi factions.  I'll leave it up to whoever puts their character in it to decide what the specific Jedi faction is like, but I figure there will be a more traditional one (like in the prequels) where children are raised from a young age and don't own anything, just use whatever the council gives them to use, and more modern ones, like Luke's EU Jedi order, where anyone of any age can be trained to use the Force, you can get married/own things, and maybe even use the "Dark side" it dark side powers in certain situations.

Those are just two possible Jedi orders, though. You can make up your own if you want, as long as it seems it could have developed from them.
