[@Altered Tundra]

To begin with, the car journey was a peaceful one. Decent tunes, some conversations, and plenty of laughter. It reminded him of a few years ago when he’d go on road trips with Amelia and Clarissa, sometimes even Skye and Seraphina joining them despite Seraphina not particularly enjoying the company of the Aphrodite kids. Those had been good times – most of the time they’d just head to the nearby town for a night out, a meal, or just to blow off some steam. When they chose to go further out, Salt Lake City and the nearby Lakes were always a favourite destination. Whenever they had a week off, they’d take turns in driving to head to the sunny coast of California. Good days... good days indeed. However, these were the days before Clarissa’s new steady boyfriend, and of course, Skye had to ruin the mood by getting all jealous. As the ruckus in the backseat grew louder and louder, Sam felt his grip on the steering wheel becoming tighter as the struggle in the back continued. Even when Amelia defused the situation – somewhat – turning slightly in the car to look in the backseat, he switched on his irritated face; giving a forced smile of obvious suppressed anger at Skye. “Skye...sweetcheeks...my little cherub... there are enough flammable items in that oversized handbag of yours in the trunk, that if I were to set fire to it in your apartment back home, the subsequent explosion would quite easily wipe out every over-priced hair product you own – along with every other possession you have.” He said in a cool tone, still smiling that sinister grin. “So shut the hell up. Also, if yours and Clarissa’s little wrestling match ripped my seats, I’ll attach a chain to your ankles and drag you the rest of the way." Turning back around in his seat, he gave himself a rather self-satisfied smile. Judging by the look on Skye’s face, he’d done enough to scare the kid. Ooh, he could be scary when he wanted to be. ”Allllrighty then... Jay-Jay, how much further is this cabin of yours? As my patience wears down, my need for alcohol and lake-parties goes up.” He said with a grin, looking at Jay in the rearview mirror.
