Eve started to run now, her hair was a lost cause that she had given up on. Her curls were now slick with rain, her eyes squinted into the pounding rain. Her body was already beginning to tire. The rain and wind began soon after, she squealed once when a bolt of lightening only a few feet away pounded the ground, it shook and frightened her. She instantly began regreting not taking the offer for a car now, her brothers saw her as a charity case and had nothing but greed for her suffering. Once when she had needed to borrow money, her brothers had laughed at her, they gave it too her but at a cost. They had made her watch their awful pets, one had been a small chiwaha. It had torn apart her barely new sofa. They of course paid her enough to buy a sofa but it had cut into her money for the bills that month. Shaking off her sudden surge of anger she stopped, a shape. No a figure, with wings?! Eve felt her heart drop, "what the-" A flash of lightening suddenly illuminated the spot she had seen the figure a moment ago. The being was well over the average height of any human and towered over some of the saplings surrounding the area. Eve gasped, backing away slowly. The flash of lightening happened again, this time Eve saw its face, it was a male, the well defined features and its well muscled abdomen, his legs incased in a silk like fabric, hanging low on the creatures hips showing of surprisingly human like legs, but the feet were not, long talons protruding from its feet. Then, there in the flash of more lightening its eyes, they were the most amazing shade of green like emeralds. Then Eve put a hand to her mouth stifling a scream. It was staring and- at her! Eve backed away slowly, her movements becoming more static like. Her eyes never left the creatures. If she she ran, she knew he'd chase her and then he'd be ready, she looked around her, there weren't many choices but she knew that if she could just reach the hill, there was a small drop but she would land on a softer patch. She remembered the first time she had fallen there, it hurt for a bit but at this point she didn't have much of a chance to outrun this thing. She backed away, digging her feet into the dampened grass. Taking in a deep breathe and without breaking eye contact, she turned abruptly twisting her body with her leg and made a run for the deeper part of the woods. Eve felt her feet slipping in the mud but she didn't care. Her legs pumped harder than they had ever done in her life. Her hair stuck to her face as she ran. 'Please, god please help me!' Her mind screamed as tears streamed down her face mixing with the rain.
