Recruiting for an ongoing campaign within the Forgotten Realms setting. Because let's face it, Forgotten Realms is awesome.

The story so far involves a job offer from a powerful wizard gone horribly awry and the group's decision to go against the wishes of their employer, leading to an informative (if horrifying) discussion with a new friend. While trying to salvage some profit from the situation, a mysterious fog rolls over the city, from which the screams of the dying may be heard. This is followed swiftly by the eerily silent appearance of an army of ravenous undead, led by a monstrous knightlike creature hell-bent on squeezing our pancreatic juices onto his morning toast. We find out that a spirit-form has attached itself to us, pleading for our help. It introduces itself as Kaylee, and gives us what help it can when not being continually subjugated by the presence of the antagonizing undead general. Now, this thing wants its Kaylee back, and grinds multiple human settlements to dust in its quest to eviscerate us and reclaim that which it had lost. Taking up hiding in the port city of Telflamm, we receive a moment of respite before the army of the dead approach and make life interesting for all parties concerned. Help is received, but everyone in town seems to have their own agenda, very little of which is in the character's interests. Finally, the superior military and magical resources of Telflamm stop the undead assault, and seemingly destroy its general. Lives are lost, people part ways, and the company is reduced to one - an underclass brawler who's slowly refining himself, with a little help from new friends and the Xiang Temple. When things look like they're getting back to normal, the general reappears, and the issue is put to rest in a back alleyway using advanced fisticuffs. Fitting scenario for a climactic showdown, considering the remaining character's background. Damaged and weary, our Last Protagonist Standing is taken in by a Master Smith, his apprentice, and a strange woman who seems acquainted with magic. Keeping a low profile, we still have to address the same nagging questions: Who (or what) is Kaylee? Can she be trusted? What would it take to free her? Will other entities or organizations be interested in acquiring the power she can provide? Also, powerful and influential people have taken note of the character's actions, possibly invoking their ire. Will we stay in the city and sort this out, or is it time to look elsewhere for answers?

For those of you who aren't familiar with the setting, nor classic AD&D, it's not a problem. The character sheet stays away from a lot of the hard and fast numbers, relying a lot more on ROLEplaying and less on ROLLplaying. This is a fantasy, swords and sorcery deal, the point of which is to have fun, not draft a character that can potentially murder everyone else in the party. Low-Mid level - we're all good at what we do, but still need each other. Haven't gotten followers yet, we all have a lot of growth to do before we become Legendary Smiters of Things That Need Smiting. Please keep characters reasonable. The Character Sheet:
Name: Age: Class: (All standard classes acceptable and customizable, multi and dual-classes permitted) Gender: Length: (Meters/Feet) Race: (Human, Elf, Dwarf, Gnome, Halfling, Half-Elf, Half-Orc, Other) Racial benefits: (if applicable) Alignment: Appearance: (Description, picture, or both) Stats: (D&D classic min/max numbers: 3 min, 18 max. 3d6 to determine, exceptional Str permitted for classes that qualify) Str: (Strength) Dex: (Dexterity) Con: (Constitution) Int: (Intelligence) Wis: (Wisdom) Cha: (Charisma) AC: (Armor Class) Spells: (if applicable) Skills: (Weapon and Non-Weapon proficiencies, learned skills, etc.) Abilities: (Class or race specific extras, character unique abilities, etc.) Clothing & Armour: Weapons: Items: Biography: Anything else of importance:
This isn't an exhaustive sheet, though it is a little long for most of these RPs. This is on purpose. Please keep CSs in a hider, makes things so much easier to work with.
