[@Caits] I was personally thinking she could have been a victim of a demonic/black magic ritual that didn't quite go as plan and instead cursed her with vampirism. The ritual would have also been against her own wishes, of course.

I'm not going to have her like, ancient. 100-200 years max. This is, of course, if the idea of a vampire is accepted.
