('C' pronounced as 'K') And Kingdom is merely what it's called only due to the absence of a better suiting word in the English language. They're not ruled by kings but more akin to Pharaohs and caliph-like rulers. The kingdom's very likely to be considered a dark-age relic by everyone else for the modern setting of this universe.
