Before Danny could resume the fight with the Putty, it along with it's brethren managed to escape leaving the fight to the mutated tree. Three of the Rangers seemed to have predicted the tree becoming a monster and attacked it pretty much the second it revealed itself. By the time he had processed what was happening it seemed the tree-monster had fled as well probably to return later alongside the Putty's.

Before Danny could teleport back and resume the chat with his brother, the monster returned and grabbed all five Rangers with its thorny branches throwing them around. It took him a few seconds but he eventually wiggled his left arm free. Using  one of his daggers he started cutting the branch holding him. He was about halfway done when a blast from Kimley's bow did the rest.

After landing he unsheathed his other dagger and swinging them at the time [url=http://powerrangers.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Arsenal_(Mighty_Morphin_1)#Power_Daggers]created a double energy slash[/url] with the intent to destroy one of the crystals he assumed acted as eyes based on their location, once again ignoring the pain in his right arm.
