The winds picked up around the Fallen one as she trudged through the desolate streets of Santa Muerte. The hour was far beyond midnight at this point but the blood moon still hung high in the skies above the city. The temperature seemed to dip dramatically as the moon fell behind the cover of clouds and the sound of a bottle clinking against the payment rattled through the nights silence from deep within an alleyway. Elisheva cocked her head and glanced over her shoulder towards the direction of the sound. A chill creeped up her spine as she pulled her jacket tightly around her and a thin brow arced over her eye. Shaking off the feeling she continued on her way, heading deeper into the heart of the city and towards where she had lived since she had come to help her now former charge. The sound of a gentle organ playing gently floated to her ears and she stopped before the doors of a dilapidated old church. The stained glass masterpieces which once framed the grand entrance were now covered in years of polluted air build up and were half shattered out. She knew the place well, she had prayed there many a time with her charge. "Wonder if I will catch fire if I enter?" Her voice half muttered the question as she looked at the door, slightly cracked open and banging against the frame with each gust of wind that cut through the once still air. Another clink of glass against pavement rung out and the hiss of an aggravated feline followed it. Shaking her head she pulled the door open and stepped inside. The light was low, candles flickering their small flames cast grizzly shadows on the carved marble statues of the saints that dotted the isles. The door closed heavy behind her and the single occupant which sat with their head down in pray amongst the pews looked up and over his shoulder quickly. Elisheva brought her hand to her mouth as two steely blue eyes locked with hers in equal shock. "Af.." the man began but the look she shot him as her hand dropped silenced him nearly instantly.
