Witness me! as I express polite interest for this RP. Ever since watching Fury Road I've been wanting a Mad Max RP. In fact, I can't help but see that this is a reboot of one that fell through. So I imagine you have some plot ready made as well, yes? Does this happen after and in the same canon as the events of the movie? And how long after the apocalypse is this? I've started up a bit of a CS, assuming that you would use the same one from the old thread.
Name: Thomas Morhaime Nickname: Tommy Scissors, shortened to Tom Siz or even just Siz. What you were: Hairdresser. What you have become: What remains of your sanity: Mostly sane. Like most survivors, though, whatever once held him back from violence is long since broken. Appearance: 5'11 and thinly built, but strong. Has a thin face and dark eyes. Keeps his head shaved, but lets his brown and red beard grow long and luxurious. He likes to braid and oil it before battle, so that it's neat and shiny. It will be caked with dirt and ash by the end of the fight, and cleaning it is part of his victory ritual. He wears a thin, much patched jacket that has hard plates sewn into it for armor. It's many colored for all the patches, and some of the plates still have paint from whatever they came from. Old worn combat boots and rugged sturdy beige pants. Personality: A simple man, he wants a place of his own again. He will do any damn thing to have it, and to keep it. Friendly until given a reason to behave otherwise, he has a quiet temper. A cold anger that can build in him but never show on the outside until he lashes out. Those closest to him can read it, and act accordingly whether that means taking him away from the situation, or goading him, or simply standing aside to let him erupt. In contrast to his violent temper, he is a deeply compassionate man. But, like said temper, it is a trait that won't show through his stoic facade. He will act for it, but seem disinterested while doing so. For instance, he might hand his canteen to a child, but seem to do so without kindness, just perfunctorily. History:
The engine was ripped out of an old plane and welded haphazardly onto the car's chassis. A more robust gear box was needed to handle the engine, as well as a larger gas tank and between the two there's no more room in the back seat of the car. The front seats are from different cars, don't match, and are upholstered with scavenged textile scraps. The gear shifter is topped with a miniature metal fist. The trunk(in the front of this model of car) is open to the cab, so that one could climb up under the dashboard and lay on their belly in the trunk to operate the machine gun(taken from the same old war bird as the engine) that's been mounted there. It can be fired in three ways: 1) The barrel pokes through a slit in the hood and the operator times their shots for when the driver lines up their sights. They can yell orders into the cab. 2) The hood can be opened to allow the gun to swivel and aim freely. This sacrifices the driver's vision in favor of the gun operator's firing line. 3) A cord can be run from the trigger to the driver seat, allowing the driver to pull the trigger without having to leave the wheel. This allows the driver to operate the car's weapon platform alone, but also splits their attention and takes up one of their hands.
