As the snake was quickly dispatched from this life by Astrea, Melissa frowned at its unfortunate end. Really, it could have made for quite the wonderful had they put their minds to it. But it seemed that fate had something more in store for the slimy reptilian as the head held by Astrea suddenly burst into a flurry of white flames. Seconds later, a new head grew out of the discarded body, slithering out of its discarded corpses and shining with a slick sheen. It seemed that the beast had been resurrected anew. Eyes blinking, it noted the presence of its headless old body, now nothing more than shed skin. With a flick of its forked tongue, it opened its massive mouth to slither forward, slowly but surely consuming its old shell. Meanwhile, Melissa watched with all the curiosity in the world. “Ah, so it was more enchanted than I thought. Whoever sent it really wanted it to kill you Mikoto. At least they were honest in their magic,” Melissa said before bringing her stuffed bunny towards her ear. “What’s that? Hmm…Miranda said it’s ok to travel with you two. As long as we get to spread the holy word, it should be fine!” The girl with the single eye looked up at Mikoto with a toothy grin. Clenching the rabbit tighter to her chest, she watched with some more interest as the white snake slithered by, coiling itself around Mikoto’s feet. Melissa titled her head at the snake’s actions. “Hmm, but Miranda also said that I have permission to force feed you the snake if you try to be my big sister. Too many girls die every year because of sickos like you Mikoto!” Well that was one way to begin an unruly fellowship. Further away though, two certain swordsmen wouldn’t have it so lucky. Back in the small village, Sedril closed his eyes in preparation before opening them again. He felt light on his feet, looking down and noticing the small magical wings. “O-Oh. Oh yeah that’s right! I’m Sedril Cheswick and I’ll definitely do my…my best,” he said as Aria was already off and running. Well that figures. Sighing to himself, he suddenly burst forward into the sky with a gust of speed, not quite used to the magical assistance. Speaking of magical assistance, Ruxen blinked as the other two girls fell right into the traps of Rexicorg. She narrowed her eyes, growling lowly until they had disarmed the magical components around her and the one with the crimson hair walked towards her. Coughing, the Beastkin kept her gaze to the floor before springing up. She leapt at the one called Momo, her body making physical contact with the spirit. Snarling, she pinned the girl to the ground, keeping a clawed hold around her neck. With a glare, she whirled right back around and stared Kurenai down. “How about this. Fuck you. Now you tell me who the hell you two are before I snap your friend’s neck into the next afterlife.”
