The others were just about to all stand up at once and fight over who gets to shower next (with Robyn being most successfull) when the doorbell rang. Everyone froze, including Gabriel, but seeing Vanessa walk quite calmly and fearlessly to the door they stayed where they were. Still, Gabriel was ready for the worst.
During the entire conversation, Gabriel was baffled with the exchange of words. [i]First of all,[/i] he thought, [i]Miss wolf claw? What the hell is that?[/i] The two by the door kept talking. Someone had seen them entering three hours ago. Then they started talking about rent, and Gabriel was surprised to hear how adamant Vanessa was. She took no crap from that man. [i]"Is your rent late? Wont he be mad if he doesn't get his due before you move out? And.. I didn't even think you would be moving out completely."[/i] Gabriel said, stunned. [i]"Also I didn't know you were such a badass. I thought you were all sunshine and flowers, peace and love?"[/i] he added with a playful sneer, teasing her. 
For a moment, he was lost in her eyes... Not only were they mysterious, they were also beautiful. [i]"My stupid landlord."[/i] she said and smiled softly. Gabriel snickered. [i]"Let's hope he would bother you anymore. Quite a rude man to knock on your door in the middle of the night."[/i]

[i]"Now about that shower..."[/i] Robyn spoke up, getting Gabriel's attention. [i]"Vanessa, I wouldn't suppose you had clothes my size? Until I can wash these ones, I mean."[/i] she said. Thomas, Conrad and Jaze realized something. [i]"Oh, right. Clothes. We'll wait with showering until we can wash out clothes, then."[/i] starts Conrad. [i]"Sounds best. Gabriel was lucky she had clothes his size, but I doubt she has any for all of us. It's quite alright, we can wait another day."[/i] said Jaze and smiled. Thomas nodded agreeingly, but didn't feel 'wise' enough to speak.
[i]"Sounds good to me."[/i] responded Gabriel. [i]"Maybe we can scrape some money together for new clothes one day."[/i] he smiled. He turned back to Vanessa, meeting her eyes again...
