Sith race is fine.  Technically, they shouldn't exist, though, as the purer blood ones were wiped out by the Jedi and any Sith DNA is so dilute that they aren't really considered Sith any more.  If you want to have a group of them survive somewhere, though, that's fine, but it would have to be hidden.  Dathomir is remote enough to work.
