Honestly it all depends on how soon you want to interact with another player. Interaction I find keeps post length down, unless you do a collaboration (*shudder* :P) with someone. Looking at Mr Allen J's post, he created length by giving Tanya an activity to compete in. My own post has length due to Mari reflecting on herself and then a slight interaction with an NPC. Likewise FacePunch's post thrived on developing S'tann's characterization through NPC interaction. It's really wide open and as this is the casual section a super long post isn't necessary.
