At first, Evelyn's eyes went wide at the sight of Amelia's offer, watching the rubies bounce off of the wooden platform as everyone hushed in silence. It might've worked if it hadn't been the giant that came marching forward. Even the slave woman looked at her with wonder. At her words though, she felt a tense of fear swarm over her, unsure of what she was really hearing. The speech was extremely uncommon in a place like this, making her wonder what had sparked the giant knight to speak so.. nobly. Then suddenly she was being swept up in the knight's arms. In the distance, the crowd continued in an uproar, and by all real estimates if Ellie took even the slightest pause - the guards could be on her for stealing property - such was the way of slave kingdoms. For the moment though, no one was catching up to her or stopping her, gaining only a few odd glances from people as she walked by. Evelyn however, stared at Ellie with a mixture of awe and fear, unsure of what to feel or think about being swooped up and rescued. Was she really being introduced into some sort of sisterhood or was this a ruse to fall into another slaver's ring? She quietly swallowed and kept silent for several moments, but she did speak before Amelia had a chance to catch up. "Um..." At first, it was all Evelyn could manage to think of, before biting her lip. She felt strange in this situation because on one hand, she could easily find herself at some other mansion or a slave girl for soldiers, but at the same time the very idea of a female knight coming in to save her was amazingly romantic. "T-thank you.. I.. um.. but I.. don't understand?" She really had nothing else to say at this point, feeling confused and conflicted.
