Gabriel smiled a bit when Vanessa hooked their arms together. It was nice walking with someone like this. "Gabriel?" she said. "I want you all to stay... I feel safer then." Gabriel opened his mouth to speak, possibly to object out of courtisy but Vanessa continued. "Please, let them just sleep on the couch or even on the ground but let them stay warm... It's autumn, it gets colder every night." she continued, almost begging him. He gave her a warm smile. "Of course. If you don't mind the crowd, we'll all stay the night." he said, reassuringly. "We can pick up your beings tomorrow morning. Please... Stay with me." she said, looking up at him. He met her eyes and time froze around him. He didn't feel the autumn night's chill anymore. All he saw were those two brown(?) eyes looking at him and he didn't know what to say. He wanted to say Of course I'll stay with you, Vanessa. It was the least he could do. But the words disappeared on their way through his mind. Even in the dark of this dim-lit street, she looked stunning. She was actually quiet beautiful, Gabriel realized. Or rather, he had known it all along, but this moment was different. He remained quiet, just looking back into her eyes.
