An afterlife where Kaathe could do whatever he would want...How cruel. Kaathe was not much of a creative dark elf. In his youth, he had always stuck to one simple strategy, and even after he had grown into who is now, his strategies were similar in nature. He could craft an entire civilization, and allow them to grow as he watched from a distance...but he would see it do what all things must do. Die. Kingdoms rise and fall, and people die. Why create something from scratch, when it will eventually rot away into nothing? How was Kaathe to do anything? He wouldn't he would create one thing. A rock. A large Rock, fit to be used as a chair. Kaathe would sit there, and wait. For what? For the end. The end of all things. The dark elf figured that this would be his version of "Resting in Peace"... ... ... ... ... What seemed like several millennia passed, and Kaathe continued to wait. The Dark Elf had found that even his own patience had a limit. He was bored, and he needed to do something. Hm...Maybe once. Kaathe allowed himself a moment to create a bit of a setting for himself. A circular area of what he remembered of the natural forest. In front of him was a fire, barely burning. One would not see this as much, but to Kaathe, this fire was meaningful. It was crafted from the memory of Kaathe's first fire. Back when he was forced to survive on those islands. Oh no...This was a bad idea... As if reacting to his memories, the world around Kaathe morphed. Gone was his rock and forest and fire. Replacing those, was a town. A town of Dark Elves. Kaathe's eye was caught by a nostalgic scene. His younger self was fighting others...and losing badly. Kaathe hid in the shadows, and watched as his younger self was beaten senseless, and almost to death. Bones were broken, and jutting out in ways that they were never meant to be. Blood pooling around his body, seeping from his cuts, nose, and mouth. This was not the fight where he grew up, but rather just another fight by a child that refused to learn...
