He has been beaten down by decades of uphill battles, personal loss, and far too many near death experiences to easily relate to to the troubles of others. Consequently he does not usually intervene unless it has something to do with his interests or he's been paid to. It goes without saying that its hard to get to know him and even then the most open you will see Wilhelm is when he is scouring ancient ruins for anything interesting, tomes of lore, intricate carvings, and artifacts. Plus, if he sees you as a companion he might even crack a joke or two.[/i] [u][b]Bio:[/b][/u] [u][b]Weapons/Equipment:[/b][/u] [i][u]-Iron Staff[/u], a plain looking staff made completely of iron and blessed by the Forge Masters of the council. There are hundreds of runes inscribed upon its length which protect it from damage and theft, quickly glowing with unbearable heat should something try to take it without its masters consent. [u]-Old Iron Armor[/u], While not a weapon the armor is a powerful suit of armor, one Wilhelm is locked in until his death. The armor keeps him alive, removing his need for food or drink but also his sense of touch. A small price to pay for life one supposes. While the armor is of high quality it is still iron and is not indestructible, however its resistance to other forms of magic is notable. [u]-Cloak of Hearthfire[/u], the only thing not created by the Iron Council, the cloak is a gift from an old companion whose life was cut tragically short. In contrast to its owners grim armor the cloak is pleasant on the eyes and is warm to the touch, implying some form of enchantment. Oddly enough it carries the faint sickly sweet smell of pipeweed despite the fact Wilhelm cannot smoke.[/i] [u][b]Magic:[/b][/u] [i][u]-School of Metal[/u], a rare tree of magic engineered by the Iron Council. Metal magic is simple and lacks much flair but has many tactical uses. Wilhelm has a simple combat doctrine which usually involves unleashing gouts of molten iron onto opponents and strengthening the equipment of his allies. In melee his blows carry the curse of rust and cook soldiers alive inside the armor they wear. Finally Wilhelm carries with him the only forbidden spell in the metal mage arsenal, the manipulation of the iron within all living things. The effects of this magic on bodies is horrific and is saved only for the absolute worst the races have to offer. While powerful these spells are hindered by their high mana cost and their short range, putting Wilhelm not only on the front of the battle but also at a higher risk of over exerting himself compared to other mages.
