To answer a question- playing homosexual characters isn't against the rules. Sexual sequences/events aren't allowed in public, and I think a character being an offensive stereotype is never good, but there's no rule against having non-heterosexual or non-cisgendered characters. You could play as a robot who loves everyone or an alien who loves no-one. Or a human who loves whoever they love.
