Oeric looked up at his pupil with pride as he rose from the ground. "You're improving, soon we'll have to put you up against a tougher opponent", he said as he put away his sword on the rack. Evelyn smiled as she thought of the day she might become a dragon slayer, slaying the savage beats and plundering their treasure hoards. "Perhaps the next time you go wyvern hunting, I could go as well?", she asked as she created a bolt of lighting to jump across her hand. "I'd say yes but knowing your father he'd disagree, can't risk losing the Wardeness can he?", Oeric and Evelyn continued their little chat for a few minutes more before the guard captain returned to his duties, leaving Evelyn to herself in the yard. "Wel this was a fine start to the day", she said to herself as she stood in the yard practicing her form. Suddenly she heard the landing of feet upon the gravel path behind her. With a swift spin she turned to face the stalker only to find it was a girl about her same age. Lowering her sword, Evelyn was about to ask who she ws but the girl did not wait. At first, Evelyn assumed Ruinil to be one of the commonfolk come to speak to her father, but as Ruinil continued to speak, it became clear that something was strange. "What do you mean this is a dream? I awoke this morning, I tasted breakfast and felt myself hit the ground during practice. How can any of this be a dream?...are you alright, friend?", Evelyn had a look of concern on her face as she eyed Ruinil. Was this girl mad? Was she right and that this really was a dream? Evelyn took a step back in case things grew out of hand.
