[/quote]That'd be too fast. 5 year per post is very fast when you can get wars, diplomatic discussions, trade and so forth.
Also 5 years can cover at least several dozen different raiding attempts from your neighbor.
I think a subjective timescale used in practically all NRPs would work just fine.
