Lizzy waved California off, looking forward to meeting someone else, only to be distracted by the sexism the cheerful man directed their way. Lizzy glanced after California. Either the woman had heard and decided not to deign the sage-armored freelancer with a response or she had, thankfully, missed the comment. A wave of her hand indicated that Lizzy wanted the man to follow her and she continued down the hall at a brisk pace. She was used to soldiers who were either unaware that their comments should, technically, be offensive, or tested the females in their outfits with those kind of comments just to see what buttons they could press. Lizzy had long ago learned to take it in stride. "You know, you seem to have a real fear of women," she replied amiably. "Sounds like a subconscious reaction to some kind of trauma. You're going to want to get that checked." She held out a hand to him as she walked, not at all daunted by his opening line. "Lizzy Sky. Massachusetts now, I guess. What's your new designation and how long have you been aboard? Cali and I got transported together; been here about a week waiting for the numbers to rise enough to get to this briefing."
