Star: I believe the queens of Sun and moon are Dante, who everyone refers to as 'The Sun Queen' *whispers* some people have even chosen to worship her, though she strongly has pushed against that.* regular* and Trinity 'The Queen of the Moon' because.. Well, our moon is named after her. 
As for equestrian history, a synopsis is that the Crystal war happened, Dante beat Trinity using the weapons of harmony, brought us away from everything and then we've had seven hundred years of peace and growth.
