Seriously rough framework, but I wanted to get started as well, since I'm super-keen! ================================================================================================ Name: Richard Goldfarb Gender: Male Age: 34
Not overly tall, and with a fit, but not mountainous build, Richard has the build of a rugby player (Somewhat surprising, considering his aversion to sports in general), albeit on the lighter side. While he has had a considerable wealth of experience in the military community and in active operations, he still has not lost the smile on his face or in his eyes. This is particularly relevant, as it vanishes to be replaced with a blank, neutral expression when he is deeply angry or upset. His usual uniform and outfit is standard dark green IDF fatigues and combat gear (vest, etc), though he will often default to Multicam gear to match his NATO and other comrades when on operations to avoid standing out like a sore thumb.

Richard - or, Rich to his friends. But never 'Dick' - is quite an outgoing, personable and talkative type of guy. He is humble and matter-of-fact about his service and career; like most professional military operators he does not brag about his exploits and instead maintains a quiet humility and gentle self-deprecating attitude toward himself, though is proud of his skills and talents, and endeavours to be reliable, resourceful and dependable to his colleagues and friends. He enjoys getting to know those he works with, and is eternally curious about other cultures and places as a result of his multi-national upbringing. He has a keen and obvious sense of humour, frequently keeping things light-hearted even in the middle of the bleakest moments with a glib comment, remark or line about the situation in hand or the opponents being dealt with. He also frequently makes references to pop-culture, such as naming the drones he works with, or making comparisons between situations as a talking point. Despite his humour, he is very serious about what he does, and has a clear understanding of his responsibilities and the nature of his role, and does not shirk away from the serious nature of combat or his being a Special Forces operator, and especially part of the TF-Echo unit. Like any soldier worth the name, he puts as much energy into relaxing and having a good time as he does into his duty, and loves a good drink of whiskey and some classic rock when having a good time with his comrades-in-arms. They met while his father was on an assignment from the USA to assist with foreign diplomatic affairs, and married within six months of their meeting. Richard's mother lived in the USA for the first six years of his life, and then they moved to Israel together following this, for the majority of Richard's childhood, with occasional visits to relatives. He took his required period of service upon turning 18. Having already been exposed extensively to the IDF and the military aspects of Israel's culture as he grew up, Richard had a fascination with the military and it's extensive array of technology and systems. His experience with military life was positive, and he decided to enlist full time, further lured by the idea of pursuing technical and academic qualifications with sponsorship from the military. He served his time in a combat engineering battalion, where he proved resourceful, capable, quick-thinking, and greatly liked by hsi fellow soldiers, and by his commanding officers - although, he was noted for having something of a clownish personality, on occasion. Completing his technical schooling and qualifications in robotics and computer systems, he was very much seen as an asset by his commanders. By this point having shown his prowess in many operations along and around the Gaza Strip and in operations into contested areas of Palestine, he had seen combat more than once, and shown his courage and dependability under fire. Wanting and driven to always do more, he volunteered for selection for the combat engineering corps special forces Yahalom, and after driving himself harder than he thought possible through the selection process, earned a position. He gained experience with demolitions and EOD in this time, but his degrees and certificates put him on a fast-track into Hevzek, the Yahalom unit responsible for the use and application of unmanned vehicles. His quick and imaginative thinking and tactics gained him a lot of attention, and it was through this experience, along with his dual nationality and familiarity with other nations (and his personal interest in the customs and culture of other nationalities), that he was recommended for detachment to Task Force Echo.
