Krys kid

Name: Phoenix Parents: Krysthane + Amarath Age: 18 Gender: Female Race: Human Weapon: A naginata as tall as she is, which admittedly isn't that tall. The dark wooden base is thicker than normal and has delicate patterns of flame wrapped around it outlined in red running up the pole. The blade itself is a bright, vivid red color that is designed to draw attention to it. As for its capabilities, the blade can be fired at an opponent much like a shotgun, breaking into small shards and launching forward, proving devastating at close range and effective at medium ranges. The small shards are still attached to the weapon via strings, so it can be flung around like a flail or 'reloaded'. In addition sections of the staff can peel away into stands and Phoenix can fire focused aura bullets through the staff like a mini-gun. Dust can be used to alter the bullets or special ammo can be loaded as well. Semblance: Emotion Manifestation. Phoenix had abilities that alter based on her emotional state. When she is calm she can process information faster than normal. When angered her aura becomes more powerful. When sad the temperature drops and she can run faster. When excited small sparks fly through the air and her senses are enhanced. Etc. Personality: A person that's somewhat reserved in general, not prone to excessive bursts of emotion. She'll still have tears in her eyes when old yeller dies but she won't be bawling on the floor. Phoenix tends to lean towards the erudite side of things, quickly grasping concepts and enjoys exploring knowledge. Though she isn't a social butterfly she can talk to unknown people with ease, if somewhat bluntly. Phoenix simply has trouble developing into a more than superficial relationship with anyone. When things get tough she prefers to think of a new way of doing it rather than toiling through it. Failure is just another step on the path to success, albeit an annoying one. Appearance: Biography:Phoenix was a street girl, only heaven knows how she made it as far as she did but when Krysthane found her she was about 8, sitting down in an alleyway reading a book. After talking with Amaranth she agreed that they could adopt the girl. Without consulting the girl in question of course. Never the less Phoenix was eager to be in a house where she got a three square meals a day and then some. Initially that was all she came for but as time passed her two moms grew on her. Eventually Krysthane found out that Phoenix had always admired hunters and secretly wanted to be one but had never considered the possibility of being one. Then and there Krysthane decided to prepare her for the life of a hunter. A fitness program was started and Phoenix began becoming thoroughly educated between the two of her ex-hunter parents. Though not without some reluctance, to Phoenix the idea of becoming a hunter was as foreign as sprouting wings and flying. However with both her moms coaxing her through it she eventually warmed up to the idea.

Krysthane yelled out one more time, "Are you sure you've got everything?". An irritated voice called out in reply, "For the 15th time mom, yes I've got everything. More than everything in fact." though the last part was muttered. Phoneix came into view with a red face dragging her overloaded suitcase down the stairs with some difficulty. "You know I just think you should prepared." Krysthane said in her defense. "Mom," Phoniex said calmly coming to a halt at the bottom of the stairs, "I can probably graduate with everything you made me pack and I'm set for anything short of the apocalypse." Krysthane grinned, "Well I suppose that'll do for now, just one more thing, and I think you'll actually want to bring this along..." With that mysterious statement Krysthane vanished into the next room. Phoneix gave a skeptical look and released her suitcase walking slowly after her excitable parent, expecting something silly like streamers, noise makers, and a cake. Instead to her surprise Phoenix saw something she'd only dreamed about having. "How do you like it?" Krystahne asked proudly gesturing to the floating weapon. Phoenix let out an uncharacteristic squeal of delight and hugged the weapon, sparks flying through the air. Krysthane waved her hands as the sparks landed on her aura, tinging quietly and she was forced to discreetly crush a tiny flame that was starting on the curtains. "Its straight from my sketchbook!" Phoneix grabbed the weapon and quickly shifted through its forms and gave it a few test swings. "Everything's just right!" she exclaimed, somewhat in surprise. Krysthane gave a proud grin, luckily it seemed her breach of privacy had been ignored, at least for now. "Well I learned a thing or two at Beacon you know." Phoenix gave a sigh of somewhat bewildered happiness. "Well thank you, now then, let's get going already.", but she said it with a smile that lightened the sting of her words. "Come on mom what am I nine?" a muffled voice cried out. Krysthane reluctantly released her child from the terror known as the hug. "Gawds." The indignant voice called out once again and Phoenix stared up her mom in mostly mock anger. "Oh come on, I couldn't help myself when you looked so nervous and unprepared." Krysthane explained jokingly. "You must've had me confused with someone else then." Phoenix said in that same tone of voice. Amarath chimed in her part, "We both know our birdie can more than take care of herself, right?" Phoenix nodded, "See at least someone knows how I feel." Krysthane wiped away a mock tear, "I'm wounded, my little girl doesn't love me and my own wife has turned against me? Shucks you know I just want the best for you." Phoenix made an exaggerated sigh and said "Yeah, yeah, I love you both, can I go now?" Krysthane kissed Phoenix on the forehead one last time, despite the others' groan of protest, and said softly, "Yeah, I love you too." and took a step back looking happily at her kid. Amarath stepped up and said, "You know what we taught you and remember, don't let those boys mess with you, you mess with them, got it?" Phoenix nodded dutifully, then said dryly, "Either of you want to gave me anything else, like another lesson on the meaning of life? 'Cause if so I'm going to have to go to Beacon next year." Krysthane waved her on and Phoenix turned away, dragging her overloaded suitcase in one hand and carrying her new toy in the other, and getting on the airship. Krysthane and Amarath watched her go silently. Meanwhile as the airship slowly took off Phoenix looked down at her parents as they slowly receded into the distance and put one hand against the clear glass. "Love you guys, I won't mess this up." she said quietly to herself and turned away taking her seat. Together her parents turned away as the airship finally passed out of sight.
