Economy: The economy of Vrensith is well balanced to the point of near insanity. Just enough taxing power and just enough exports to keep a steady income. Anything out of the nations norm could knock this finely tuned process into a downfall.

Primary Species: Sroflorsts, Sroflorst. This species normally take to living in cold regions of the world. Shunning themselves from contact with the outside world. Their skin is as brightly patterned as a octopus with a similar texture. The similarities don't stop there as where a upper jaw should be instead hangs two long tentacles that twist and curl almost subconsciously given the Sroflorsts current emotional status. These two tentacles hang at chest length and are used for a number of different things such as assisting with eating. They are a carnivorous species with teeth fashioned to show. They stand at average five feet. This species has a copper based blood type as such they bleed blue rather than red.

Culture: The people of Vrensith are a isolationist group. With most living quite a ways away from one another and even something as rudimentary as friendship being a rarity. Despite this the current duke has managed to form a strong national identity among the middle working class. Vrensithians are distrusting to outsiders as they have only lived along their own kind through their entirety of their tribal stage which causes diplomacy to be sluggish and awkward on the Vrensithian side.

Religious and Other Beliefs: While not outlawed most of this nation don't believe in any deity.

History: This nation sprung up from a collation of tribes of Sroflorsts conquering the land they deemed as "Their right to rule." This war raged for eight years until the region was united under a single banner. The first form of government they had was a simple tribal gathering of chiefs. The nation sat in solitude until a expansionist chief suggested they send out boats to explore past their land. This idea passed and eventually they made contact with the northern nations. At first they shied away from the concept some of these nations held. Until the same expansionist chief began to read up on "Northern" concepts. Nation-States, monarchies, and a standing army all seemed like logical ideas to him. The chief gathered a large mass of followers through the next years and lead a coup against the other chiefs. After the dust settled he proclaimed himself Duke of Vrensith. The concept of a Duchy of Vrensith has only existed for twenty years of now. The recent declaration of nationhood was sent out to most nearby powers via unarmed civilian diplomatic vessels. A new species and nation being introduced into this much more mature world with this diplomatic outreach. The Duke of the realm enacted a elective monarchy to the nation in his third year in the case he died of any number of causes. He wished for the people to elect a new Duke on his death from the retaliative small group of nobles of the nation. So far this has yet to be done. The policies enacted on the nation have been very left wing in nature and purpose. What the nation has of industry is owned by the state and controlled by such. The new schooling system is free to all attendees. Modernization is a major goal for the nation. The duke wishes to enact more "Northern" ideals in order to stabilize the nation and help with self reliance. As this nation is recently stepping into the light of civilization they hold a rather innocent view of the world. The people and rulers of Vrensith don't naturally hold strong thoughts on issues that others may seem controversial besides a distrust of outsiders.

Climate: The weather in the area is harsh and relentlessly dangerous. The cold to a species not made for it or a human not prepared would die quickly in the frosted cold.

Agriculture: Nearly impossible in this region. The only living plants are found deep within cave systems growing out of walls with roots splitting into the rock. Most agricultural goods are now shipped into the nation.

Industry: There are very few factories in the nation besides a few oil drilling rig scattered across the nation.

Main Imports: Small arms, wood, processed metals, and cloth.

Main Exports: Oil, coal, medicinal herbs found in the caves of the region.

Infantry The infantry are armed with simple rifles, long coats, snow shoes, and a fire starting kit. The rifle they use is a single shot break action nine millimeter with a effective range of 70 meters. The guns simplistic design is cheap and along with its ammo. This causes them to look like a rag tag group of peasant soldiers and in all reality that is mainly what they are. The main thing that separates this army from others is its unspoken never surrender policy. The soldiers would rather give their lives in brutal combat rather than surrender. They don't fight for their nation, home, or even the other soldiers in the field with them. When these men fight they fight for themselves and the glory of bloodshed. This warlike attitude comes from their tribal roots and is ingrained in their fighting style.

Navy The navy is still in its infancy. Ships ready for combat are rare and expensive to send out. Currently they have twenty light cruisers armed with a single 7.7m flak cannons and a small handful of scouting craft.
