It looks more like a staff to me, but given its shape, I can see how it can double as a hammah ^_^

I see no shortage of mods available that thing. It's also an ecclesiastical weapon, meaning you get access to all sorts of crazy, holy warrior-priest mods in addition to all the normal mundane mods that can be provided by the mechanicus!

I do believe priests have added defense vs the warp and psykers, meaning that unlike Aviza, you wouldn't be totally boned if I decided to introduce an enemy psyker specialized in telepathy xD
