Catching the breeze and hearing the howl from outside, he spun, crashing through the open door with a small growl. He brushed up against her fur, his ears perked up, twisting around to pick up extra sound. His fur bristled, lips drawn back over his teeth. A low, continuous growl rumbled in his chest, fire flicking around his paws and teeth. He kicked off, reaching a running speed in only a few steps, following after the twins, having picked up on the direction they headed. He paws slammed down against the ground, tearing out chunks of dirt and grass with each step, throwing it up into the air behind him. He nimbly ran through the trees, coming close enough to some to brush up against the bark. His mouth was open, constantly scenting the air for danger. He wouldn't let her get hurt again, and so he stuck close by her side with the desire to protect her without any thought to his own health. [@Arista]
