Perhaps not, remember that yoda and obiwan both felt the sudden deaths of all the jedi. It shouldn't be to far fetched for other masters to have felt the disturbance. If all the jedi can fall at once what would their small cells have against the newly forming empire at the height of its might? Even the zeison sha would put aside any xenophobia to reach out to the others for the sake of them all. With telepathy, there would be less worry for intercepted transmissions across the holonet.
