The rest of the packs poured in behind their vanguard. Fendros had acted similarly to Ahnasha beforehand, taking out his sword and shield and replacing his bow on his back. He had his shield up as he wheeled around the edge of the broken doorway and headed to cover the side of the room that Lorag and Ahnasha did not take. He had no enemies to deal with in that moment that weren't already being engaged. With a quick command from Janius, Leaps was released from his leash and sprinted in behind Kaleeth faster than anyone else. His target was one of the enemies by the fireplace. In a few scrambling paces, Leaps was upon him, jumping up and forcing the enemy to the ground before he could fully rise from his seat. The other was engaged by Janius and Gallus, but there was time enough for that enemy to mount a defence. Like Fendros, Tzirret took a clear side of the room and found no one to harass with his spear, so he opted to wait by the staircase and fend off anyone coming up. [hr] Sabine returned the smile, looking up to Peiter once more. "We should." A full ten seconds of silence passed where Sabine simply stared at Peiter, trying to stay awake. In one last effort, she straightened her head slightly, but kept it forward such that her arm was obscuring her fading smile. It took a lot of bravery to speak again, "You know, you can...sit next to me whenever you want to. I don't mind."
