Über Ethereal
Kolon's Hut - New York, Arcadia-1 [@Flamelord][@Absolis][@thewizardguy]
Despite the divine nature of the God Emperor, the Ethereal could clearly see the weakness of humanity in him. It sickened it, filled the overlord with disgust but also envy for such creatures as they wielded a potential that far exceeded the Ethereals. Though of course, Nova was not a good example as he was barely even human when considering all factors. Nonetheless, the alien didn't hide its psionic influence to deflect most of Nova's abilities, giving him only the bare minimum. It was clearly aware that it was outmatched in terms of power, there was no reason to hide it, the Star child was nothing more than a transcended being that greatly surpassed anything they could dream to produce. But it didn't matter, he was displayed as an imperfect being in the end upon losing to the goons from the Alliance of Conquerors. But the Über Ethereal wasn't insane, nor prideful enough to reject Nova when he clearly didn't display any form of belligerent reaction. He mostly questioned their reasons for preserving Apocalypse, something that even the Ethereals admitted was extreme and lacked rationality. However, in a world where even the God Emperor of Mankind fell to his knees to an army, integrating such a monstrosity within their ranks was an advantage to have and mostly to observe. Nova would clearly see through the authorization of the alien various alternatives they had formulated regarding Apocalypse's fate, many of which consisted in having beings just as terrifying within their army, though apparently completely under the control of this 'Envisioning One'. "We Ethereal Ones do not perform of the same mistakes out of greed as you humans do. Whether it is an asset or not, you clearly see the plan we have concerning this ... Thing. It does not excuse your failures regarding the Alliance of Conquerors, the only tangible threat at hand, Star Child." It was typical of the Ethereal to take this conversation with a bit of salt, after all it still represented a powerful organization and they couldn't afford to appear vulnerable or submissive. But Nova could clearly see they weren't directly hostile to him, or at least their hostility would be much greater to their common foe than to himself. When Ruiko was summoned to the area, the overlord didn't feel at ease with the way she was solicited. It didn't really have any attachment to her but what this Level Upper could offer had immense potential, plus with the path the alien imagined for her, she'd be on her way to reach the elite ranks. The alien followed him as he walked out, following Cyano's request in the same process. "Defending is not what this child requires. Nor does disregarding her mediums would make our understandings advance. As an entity engaged in this inevitable conflict, we must harness the potential of that tool. Creating a powerful, enhancing mechanism by using simple soundwaves would likely give the edge to lay waste to the enemy's ranks." It announced, a detail he could have easily accessed in the alien's mind but it bothered to share it as a sign that something could be done collaboratively to destroy the menace. Of course, the Outliners also considered Nova as a threat to Arcadia too. His ideals and overwhelming power were simply going to yield the same Doomsday scenario to all universes as the Conquerors would bring, according to the Outliners. "You have failed once, Star Child. Your mere presence leaves this Multiverse vulnerable. Your allies have also revealed the existence of a pivotal tool to completely overrunning the Arcadia system. Action must be taken differently, starting by you yourself fading from Arcadia. The Envisioning One may have a strategy to eliminating these forces that oppose us." It exposed to the God Emperor. It didn't matter whether he'd follow or not, at least not to the plan. If he were to remain stagnant like before, the Conquerors would likely defeat him again, while being left even more vulnerable for the Outliners to finish them off. If he were to tend toward a joint venture, they could likely put an end to this madness quickly before more complex issues would emerge such as their diverging ideals and odd balls like the Goa'Uld. 'Ruiko. Choose your path wisely. A lot more is at stake than your attempts to surpass your peers. The allies you make will determine your place in the world as of now.' It told the girl via telepathy, the Ethereal's power being strong enough to prevent Nova from hacking into it. It gave the girl a fair warning, as it did with any individual it crossed in the Multiverse. A strange contrast to what it was when it invaded Earth, but upon understanding humans and discovering Arcadia, it clearly understood the importance of avoiding violence when completely unnecessary. "Conablum. What is this form? What do you require?"
