Owen Whately – Frenzy Camp
[@oblivion666][@raijinslayer][@caits][@liferusher] Standing back, Owen watched the fight, his breath steady as he ran a quick self-examination to see if his interception of Argus' attack lastingly damaged his muscles. In a normal fight, nobody would have time or focus to spare in order to check for wounds, but when cooperating with fellow Frenzy Plant soldiers, someone like Owen could duck out for a moment to make sure he'd be fine, trusting his comrades to cover for him. After finding no damage beyond soreness and a caustic tingling left over from exposure to the demon's potent Crimson God Slayer magic, Owen rejoined the perimeter circle, but withheld his blade for now. When Gabriel decided to talk rather than contribute, Owen called to him. ”Yeah, callin' names will solve this mess right quick! You mighta not heard, but we know the story plenty well. D'you even see what we're dealin' with? If we tried talkin' it out, we'd all be paste by now! This is serious, kid, not whatever squabbles you're used to.” Behind this declaration came an immediate proof: the roar of the Dragon, even if the soundwave pushed the very air, went totally ignored by everyone present. All focus lay on Argus and Ike, and with greater or lesser degrees of experience the Frenzy Plant soldiers blocked out the useless noise. The next moment, Ike crashed into the ground, and as he beat it in rage his worried guildmates set their collective sights on him. Owen yelled in response to his cries, attempting to reach him, “Ain't nobody stronger alone than with pals! Frenzy Plant is yer strength! We're with ya, but ya gotta calm down!” He watched as the spikes coating Ike's back burst outward, and the circle of soldiers around the combatants grew much larger as each retreated a few steps to avoid excessive acupuncture. Joakim, however, opted to rely on his Deep Freeze Fake as a defense instead, not imagining that a spine would slide right through it and tear a gash through his clothes and hip alike. He fell over backward, his staff unable to support his weight, and gasped in pain. He reached down to freeze the wound and stop it from bleeding. Simultaneously, a spike missed Leixia's head by only a few centimeters, taking off some hair, a bit of her hood, and her left earlobe instead. Blood spattered across her shoulder and cheek, but at the moment her adrenaline rush prevented her from feeling it. Owen, however, noticed that Ike seemed to be faltering, but a spike required him to use his shield to block rather than his mind to capitalize on the situation. At that moment, Isla's rabbit appeared next to Ike and began to swell, like an insect bursting its pod. Sinew bulged all over its body as it rocketed upward in size, ready to swat Ike down as his traumatic memories of it tortured him. Without Isla to control it, however, the rabbit was nothing more than a dumb beast, and failed to notice the quarter-sized magic circle appearing behind its shoulder. Out of nowhere, a steel rapier blade extended from the circle, pierced the monster's grotesquely muscular arm, and exited out the other side to puncture its torso and ribcage as well. All eyes fell on Owen, who held his rapier up like a conductor's baton. With deadly precision he whipped the blade back and forth, creating a field of magic circles surrounding the monster as it stood transfixed by the initial blade. Each arcane sigil appeared in a silvery blink, letting out a small chiming noise, and in only a few seconds they swarmed around the killer rabbit like wasps. ”Stand back, folks...Million Stab!” He thrust forward with the rapier, and a matching blade thrust from each magic circle at the same time. All at once, the rabbit's body became a grisly and very dead mass of black and red paint, like a piece of meat jammed with a whole box of toothpicks. Feeling triumphant and dangerous, Owen called, ”Last chance for you two to get yer crap together! Fightin' any more will only make it worse for ya!” As much as Owen hated the idea of sending both rebellious members to the witch doctor, he would give the order in three seconds if neither Ike nor Argus stood down.
