Maybe Dragonfly's blood has a stronger effect on her without being addicting or drugging her up the moment she drinks it. It could lead to some interesting teamwork while fighting the heroes. 

That would also put him in a good position with Crow, as he'd be able to request things from her as long as he keeps supplying with blood when needed.
