A note about money for the masses:  Money takes form in copper, silver, gold, and platinum coins. A gold piece is worth 10 silver pieces. Each silver piece is worth 10 copper pieces. Platinum pieces are each worth 10 gold. Economically speaking, you can compare 1 gold piece to about 10 US dollars (convert that as needed, but it's basically enough for a good hot meal somewhere that isn't a fancy restaurant). 

The standard coin weighs about a third of an ounce (50 to the pound). 

ALSO-- this post will be added to the first post of the OOC so that if you guys ever need to reference it, it's easily accessible. I'll be doing this for any other informational OOC/IC posts as well.
