Name: Amon Ru-Amen Identity: Joseph Tobias City of Operation: Seattle, Washington Age: 25 (Unknown) Gender: Male Superpowers: Joseph himself has no superhuman abilities, but he is host to the spirit of an ancient god-king: Amon Ru-Amen. When Amon takes control of Joseph's body is when he is granted superpowers. Speed, strength, dexterity, and endurance reach superhuman proportions (able to lift over five tons, run up to 100 mph, heal minor wounds within minutes with reduced pain), as well Amon is notably more intelligent, clever, and devious than Joseph. Most importantly, however, he gains the ability to summon his sword (see equipment), create and manipulate copious amounts of intense flames at will, and even levitate/fly at the same speed he can run. Amon can only control Joseph's body for up to an hour before being required to regain his energy by letting Joseph resume control for another three hours, but he is capable of communicating with Joseph at all times through his subconscious even during his resting period. This allows Amon to sway Joseph's actions and even manipulate him to a degree without taking over his body. One can tell if Amon is in control as Joseph's irises turn a bright yellow and have a faint glow. Skills/ Talents: Joseph himself is a lowly accountant, relatively fresh out of college. He is good with math and economics and is in a healthy shape. Amon, however, has more skills to bring to the table when he takes control. A master swordsman and tactician, as well as being able to speak most any language on Earth including extinct ones such as his native tongue. Even without a weapon he knows how to fight, being trained in an ancient martial art from many thousands of years ago that revolves around disarming enemies and working around armor to hit weak points (not necessarily vital organs). Equipment: Joseph keeps on him little more than his wallet, keys, and phone. When Amon takes control he is capable of summoning his personal sword at will, Shamshir. A large and heavy weapon that is ill-suited to be carried around at all times, thus Amon keeps it stored in his tomb and summons it when necessary. He can also send it back at will, to keep it out of the hands of his enemies should they get a hold of it. Weaknesses: As an unimpressive host body, Joseph himself has many weaknesses. He has no combat training, is only average in terms of physical fitness, and he is as emotionally unstable as most "mere mortals" in this day and age. Amon does not share those weaknesses in the least, though he is not devoid of his own. He has a time limit whenever he takes over Joseph's body, and the resting period afterwards leaves them both very vulnerable as he will be unable to take over in an emergency. While Amon's spirit is immortal the physical body is not, so even if he is capable of withstanding pain and damage he can still succumb to injury. Even worse: damage sustained by Amon will be amplified for Joseph when he regains control. Perhaps the biggest weakness of all: Joseph and Amon do not see eye-to-eye and are at odds with each other. Psyche: One can consider Joseph to be like a self-aware schizophrenic. While he himself is humble, forgiving, and overall fairly kind, he is fully aware that there is a part of him that he can't control that is nothing like he is. Joseph only ever wanted to live a normal life; he wanted a decent job, a good wife, and a loving family in his future. But now he wants nothing more than to be rid of the voice in his head, the spirit that takes over his body and has been ruining his life. Amon is very proud, arrogant, and demeaning. He sees himself as superior to not only Joseph but all human beings. He refers to them as "mortals" and only considers them useful as a means to an end, no compassion involved. To him, humans are foolish and destructive beasts that can only be controlled through fear and pain. Amon had lingered in the spirit world for a long, long time and was ignorant to the changing world and as such is unfamiliar with many modern practices and technology, which he considers damned. He only came back to the world of the living for one reason and one reason only: to retrieve what is rightfully his. History: Joseph Tobias was born and raised as the only son to a divorced couple. He lived with his mother and got to see his father every other weekend. He had little to complain about, being his mother was a lawyer and his father was a police officer. He lived a middle-class life for as long as he could remember. He kept a small, handful of good friends throughout high school and college and stayed away from unhealthy vices during his education. It took less than a year for him to get a job working as an accountant at a pharmaceutical company based in Seattle. He had a job, a house, and even had a girlfriend. Life was looking good. Then one night he had a weird dream. Amon Ru-Amen, a god-king from pre-Mesopotamian times, came to him in his sleep. He told Joseph that he was Amon's last descendent and thus the only human he could interact with. He did not explain what happened to the others, but he told Joseph that it was his time to be called upon as a living vessel to allow Amon back into the world of the living. In his era he had collected a wealth of legendary artifacts, personal items of magic and power. And one of his artifacts was stolen. Amon did not give the identity of who had taken his artifact, nor what it was, but he told Joseph that his spirit was disturbed and could not rest while his property was in the hands of "heathens". When Joseph awoke he found that nothing seemed to have changed. He dismissed the dream as something strange and soon forgot about it. He did not hear Amon's voice until he was already at his cubicle in the office. Joseph was frightened and confused, and Amon explained the situation again, only this time with more force and aggression. There was no choice in the matter: Joseph was going to help him retrieve his missing artifact at all costs. This was less than a year ago and since then Amon has explained his general plan as well as who the culprit is. Simply stealing back the magical artifact will be difficult, as the man who is in possession is none other than Max Cotto, the Golden One. Using Joseph's status as an unknown and unimportant man, Amon has periodically made attempts on the Golden One's life even in broad daylight. Due to the fact he isn't a public figure or anyone well-known, Joseph has managed to not be caught or even associated with the actions of Amon. Recently Amon has become quiet, redirecting his efforts from taking his armor back from Max by force and focusing on establishing a grand plan to break Max's spirit and put a cease to his heroics as a means to make him give up the armor _willingly_.
