Ib is shown as reticent, reserved, and vacantly unreadable. Most of the time, she seems to have an inhuman mental capability of being immune to surreal events that would normally bring on mental trauma. This is unknown of whether she is simply too young and naïve to identify when certain things are out of the ordinary or if she has the capability of not being affected emotionally, which prevents her from becoming overwhelmed. However, this is simply a mask she hides behind. She may look like she is unaffected but on the inside it is effecting her greatly. She is truly very kind, compassionate, and emotional on the inside. She tends to put others needs before her own and won't hesitate to help someone if she feels they are in need of assistance. 

She gets nervous when meeting new people and doesn't speak much until she gets to know them better. Ib has a stubborn streak and will not budge if she sets her mind to something. She's not one to anger easily but once she is watch out because she can have quite the temper and is not afraid to give you a piece of her mind. Of course, afterwards she will be completely mortified by what she said and will apologize profusely to the person she grew angered at. If she thinks they deserve it that is. If she feels you completely had what was coming to you, not one word of apology will leave her lips though secretly she will still feel rather bad about it. Another trait of Ib's is that she has a bad habit of bottling up her problems so the people around her will not worry. Even if she is having the worst day imaginable she will still put on a smile and say everything is fine. 

She is a very responsible individual and can cook, clean, sew, and generally take care of herself.

Garry is mysterious yet expressive, and his mood can change quickly depending on the situation. When talking to Ib, however, he is kind to her from the first moment they introduced themselves to each other. He can be very protective over her and will go to many lengths to keep her safe. Garry can normally be described as a gentle, caring man that always has a smile on his face. When the people he cares about are in danger Garry tends to throw himself headlong into harms way without thinking about his own safety. 

Garry seldom gets angry and it's very hard to get him angry at that but when he does become angered it's a quiet. Basically, the quieter Garry gets the more angry he gets. Garry can also be very stubborn when the mood suits him. Garry also has a bad habit of smoking that Ib scolds him for. He also can not cook without running the risk of burning the kitchen down. Despite what Garry wants people to think, he is quiet the scaredy-cat and can be spooked very easily.
