Hello, I am Treckler and I am new here at Roleplayer Guild. I'm currently seventeen years of age and had started roleplaying early this year ,so please do not bash me with distasteful messages :dreamy (I know that you guys are well educated). Right now I am interested in starting a sci-fi / psychological RP, something like Fight Club or Mr. Robot. I haven't seen anyone make this kind of ro or maybe I am just not digging deep within the internet hard enough. This is a Slice of Life kind of thing, so you can prolly use actual locations from our little blue planet. Though I haven't thought of a starting place yet (suggestions would be a huge help). I have posted this on a different forum (Gaia) before and it might still need a little bit of work since this site has a different structure and codes. Though if you guys are interested to join or even have a comment about this RP (to make it better), please do leave a message below. This is a rough plan of how the story goes. Yes, it is not yet the final product. Orange Inc. an American multinational technology company that develops, design and sells computer software, consumer electronics and online services. I was founded by an Anonymous multimillionaire hiding in the name of Blue Ant, no one knows for sure how or why the multimillionaire did is hiding under the radar. Cicadia 3301 On year 2018 a group of hacktivist started to hack Orange Inc. and bring down their servers, losing all the corporation's money, Orange Inc. shuts down on year 2020. A month after the attack and fall of Orange Inc. the hacktivist group started to publicize their recruitment by posting strenuous puzzles on public websites like 4chan, reddit, twitter, skype and many more. The most popular puzzle is posted by Cicada 3301. and was cracked by talented multiple individuals. On the 5th of October a tragic video sprung from the televisions caused by a radio interference, as members of the anonymous hacktivist members were exposed on live television with their personal information and unsettling videos of they murdered live on television. At the end of the program, the logo of Orange Inc. was displayed on the screen and a logo of an unknown group or company showed up after Orange's logo, it was composed of a blue ant hovering in front of Orange's trademark. After the tragic and unsettling event multiple hacks alarmed the police departments and might as well the government. The cause of attacking police departments were still unknown to the media. Or was it the government's order to keep the information underground? It is now your decision to choose a side, Would you like to be a Hacktivist or be a part of the Order?
/T-L/ Terms/Lingo that you may want to use via Wikipedia _White hat: A white hat hacker breaks security for non-malicious reasons, perhaps to test their own security system or while working for a security company which makes security software. The term "white hat" in Internet slang refers to an ethical hacker. _Black hat: A "black hat" hacker is a hacker who "violates computer security for little reason beyond maliciousness or for personal gain" (-Moore, 2005). Black hat hackers form the stereotypical, illegal hacking groups often portrayed in popular culture, and are "the epitome of all that the public fears in a computer criminal". Black hat hackers break into secure networks to destroy, modify, or steal data; or to make the network unusable for those who are authorized to use the network. _Grey hat: A grey hat hacker lies between a black hat and a white hat hacker. A grey hat hacker may surf the Internet and hack into a computer system for the sole purpose of notifying the administrator that their system has a security defect, for example. They may then offer to correct the defect for a fee. _Elite hacker: A social status among hackers, elite is used to describe the most skilled. Newly discovered exploits circulate among these hackers. Elite groups such as Masters of Deception conferred a kind of credibility on their members _Script kiddie: A script kiddie (also known as a skid or skiddie) is an unskilled hacker who breaks into computer systems by using automated tools written by others (usually by other black hat hackers), hence the term script (i.e. a prearranged plan or set of activities) kiddie (i.e. kid, child—an individual lacking knowledge and experience, immature), usually with little understanding of the underlying concept. _Neophyte: A neophyte “newbie” or “noob” is someone who is new to hacking or phreaking and has almost no knowledge or experience of the workings of technology and hacking. Blue hat: A blue hat hacker is someone outside computer security consulting firms who is used to bug-test a system prior to its launch, looking for exploits so they can be closed. Microsoft also uses the term BlueHat to represent a series of security briefing events. _Hacktivist: A hacktivist is a hacker who utilizes technology to publicize a social, ideological, religious or political message.
