My vote is for anything over a twenty-five year skip, as to me it makes the most sense as to why these events are not just inherently linked otherwise. I highly doubt you would see much of anything but recurring villains and a few previous heroes, as if I understand how the demons seem to play, they go for the longer term plan.

So there's a couple of veteran characters, but a lot of new faces who don't understand demons the same way. Maybe the previous characters have been thwarting these particular demons for years now, and have grown quite familiar with each other
