Essentially, yes. The returning cast has had ample time to know their enemy as well as develop their individual objectives and goals. The return of the evil of the past, even elements thereof, would provide great reason for them to take up arms again and cross familiar paths. Some might have stayed together, but I see it being just as likely others might have gone their separate ways; a fairly even split.

To answer [@Letter Bee]'s question, that's more of something up to [@IcePezz] and [@ArenaSnow] given they operate the world's aspects. With twenty five or more years, I do not see why your character could not have done so; there's significant time, planning and execution to be done for that, but with a time skip that large, there's no reason it could not work to my understanding. It would likely just need explanation in the backstory.
