The concept for your character has to have some basis in DC media but you have a lot of lee-way when it comes to making that character your own. Race, background, age, powers, codename, even gender can all be tweaked to fit your own vision for that character. Superhero stories do it all the time and this RP is the same. However since this RP is based off the DCEU if you choose a character from the upcoming Suicide Squad movie they must at least have the same general appearance of that character.
