A Mook is an expendable faceless person. They don't serve much of a purpose besides being slaughtered by the thousands by the heroes. Or the villains if the heroes have an army 

Following that definition, the kolons aren't technically mooks. They are NPCs. That being said, they are Turing into useful NPCs.
