Well its basically a trend when it comes to country conflicts and the like, IE, they are very likely to happen when food or water runs low. Example, Ukrane and Russia, they were running low on Buhckwheat, which is basically the USSR area equivalent of rice+bread+Ramen+ect all rolled into one. Now look at whats going on. yeah... Sure thats not the whole story, but it def accelerated the problem thats for sure.

Happened a bunch in ancient times I'm sure.
