Hi, I'm MissCapnCrunch your friendly guild tour guide! To the left we have grey and to our right.. some more grey! Moving on... These sort of preference of things come in time. Me personally I switch between the free section and the casual section because I like to write in depth characters and have more structure (casual), but sometimes things are just too slow for me so I need something a little more fast paced (free). A good idea to start world building is think of the genre you want your roleplay to go- usually people do things they like so they have fun doing it, and even have some background knowledge of the idea. For example, I don't know much about history so if I was building a world I would definitely not do anything that was historically accurate because it would be a huge headache for me to find out just exactly what happened when and why. But if you're into that thing- there are tons of people who share it too! If you ARE thinking of something that is brand spanking new, then starting small is a good idea that you had. Think of the 5 w's in a sense. who, what, where, when, and why. It's a relatively good starting point and usually the other details fall into place while you're brain storming. I've kind of rambled a bit, but I hope that kind of gave you a little pep talk of sorts for starting off new here. If you have any questions, comments, concerns, compliments- you can PM me anytime and I will reply to them the best I can Good luck and happy roleplaying :)
